DNA and RNA decontamination

DNA and RNA decontamination

Contamination by DNA, RNA, DNases and RNases is a major concern in molecular biology, especially when using highly sensitive techniques such as PCR. These contaminants are known causes of artifacts, false positive and false negative results, and inaccurate data. From aerosols, contaminating DNA and RNA can be highly resistant to removal and are frequent causes of cross-contamination between samples. On the other hand, DNase/RNase contamination can lead to degradation of DNA/RNA targets, compromising entire runs of PCR experiments.
Avoiding and removing DNA contamination can be difficult. When working with RNA, the main concern is RNases, which are ubiquitous and can easily compromise entire runs of PCR experiments, degrading targets.
We offer different disinfectants for the removal of DNA, RNA, DNases and RNases in different forms: spray, wipe as well as economical refill formats.
