-20°CThis MAb recognizes basic (Type II or HMW) cytokeratins, which include 67kD (CK1); 64kD (CK3); 59kD (CK4); 58kD (CK5); 56kD (CK6); 52kD (CK8). Twenty human keratins are resolved with two-dimensional gel electrophoresis into acidic (pI <5.7) and basic (pI >6.0) subfamilies. The acidic keratins have molecular weights (MW) of 56.5, 55, 51, 50, 50’, 48, 46, 45, and 40kD. This MAb recognizes the 65-67, 64, 59, 58, 56, and 52kD keratins of basic subfamily. Many studies have shown the usefulness of keratins as markers in cancer research and tumor diagnosis. It is a broad spectrum anti pan-keratin antibody cocktail, which differentiates epithelial tumors from non-epithelial tumors e.g. squamous vs. adenocarcinoma of the lung, liver carcinoma, breast cancer, and esophageal cancer.||Applications: |Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Flow Cytometry (Not Tested), FLISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.||Recommended Dilution:|Flow Cytometry (Not Tested): 0.5-1ug/million cells |Immunofluorescence: 1-2ug/ml |Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml |Immunohistochemistry (Frozen & Formalin-fixed): 0.5-1ug/ml for 30 min at RT|(Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes)|Optimal dilution for a specific application should be determined.||Positive Control:|Skin, Adenocarcinomas||Storage and Stability:|Store product at 4°C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable at -20°C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.||Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
